2007 Emergency Responses / 911 Call Center Dispatches

In 2007, St. George Firefighters responded to a total of 7168 dispatches from the 911 Call Center. This was up 3% from the number of calls made in 2006. 

The assistance we provided ranged from fighting fire, to rescue, to providing first response in medical emergencies, to extricating traffic accident victims and aiding EMS, to investigating and protecting the public from any number of potentially hazardous conditions.

It is interesting to note that the huge bump in emergency calls caused by
Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005 has remained our normal call volume.
