The St. George Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners.
The Fire Chief reports directly to the Board. The members of the Board of Commissioners are each appointed for two year terms by the East Baton Rouge Parish Metropolitan Council. As the governing board of an independent taxing district, the St. George Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners has complete autonomy from the Metropolitan Council, once appointed.
